The Continuum of Disagreements
The political climate being what it is, it is readily observable that there is a continuum of interpersonal conflict. This continuum is represented by 5 D’s flowing: I disagree with you, I dislike you, I despise you, I demonize you, and then finally, I dehumanize you. Being on this continuum is a dangerous place to find one’s self at. As, it is at the point of demonizing or dehumanizing those who voice dissent of an agenda that an individual or group grants themselves permission to treat the opposition in as cruel of a manner as their imagination can conjure.
